About Me

I grew up in Olds Alberta, and moved to Red Deer in 1998 to earn my Bachelor's degree in Education through the University of Alberta/RDC Collaborative Program. In 2003, my teaching journey began with Grade One on the O'Chiese First Nation Reserve, Northwest of Rocky Mountain House. Since returning to Red Deer in 2005, I have also taught Kindergarten and Grades One, Three, and Four, as well as Pathways. I served in the Learning Assistance role at Oriole Park from 2011-2013, and I am very excited to return to this role for the 2017-2018 school year!

I enjoy reading, yoga, hiking, camping, and photography (particularly capturing old farm buildings, homesteads, and ghost towns). I also love to paint and draw. I have two kids, Faith and Thomas who will be 10 and 3 this year.
Like my home, my classroom runs on love, laughter and lots of caffeine!
