Oriole Connections is a dedicated character education time at our elementary school, designed to support the social and emotional growth of our students. During this time, students participate in our WITS program, learning to Walk away, Ignore, Talk it out, and Seek help, through practical examples and discussions, to develop positive conflict resolution skills.
In addition to character-building skills for friendship and kindness, Oriole Connections provides an opportunity to review important school procedures such as bus safety, evacuation drills, and other whole-school initiatives aimed at nurturing the whole child. These sessions are led by our administration team and are held separately for K-2 and 3-5 grade groups, allowing teachers to collaborate with their grade-level partners to best support their students.
If parents have any questions or would like more information about Oriole Connections, please feel free to contact the school at any time.
